Pete has played the trumpet for over thirty years. Pete spent many years playing the trumpet and studying with Hornsby Concert Band under the direction of Mr Victor Grieve. Starting his professional career in music as an orchestral trumpeter performing in many different orchestral ensembles including, National Training Orchestra, Elizabethan Trust Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.

He joined the Defence Force as a musician in 1981 and began studying commercial and lead trumpet playing under the direction of John Hoffman. Pete has now had over 20 years experience as lead trumpet in the Defence Force and in civilian ensembles.

His career in music has taken him all over the world and he has participated in performances for VIP’s such as US presidents, HM the Queen of England and other visiting dignitaries. He has had the opportunity to perform with musicians such as, Peter Allen, Tommy Emanuel, Tommy & Vicky Tycho, James Morrison, Don Burrows,Grace Knight, Ricky May, George Gollar, Rhonda Birchmore, Barry Crocker, Doug Parkinson, Glen Shorrock, Gordon Boyd, Tod McKenny, Jeff Duff, Frank Bennet, Lilly Dior and many club acts, Latin, Salsa bands and Theatre shows like Chess around Sydney. He is currently performing with Temple of Groove around Sydney playing Tower of Power, Earth ,Wind & Fire music as well as lead trumpet for the Tim Oram Big Band.

Pete has performed in many recording sessions including lead trumpet for Sydney 2000 Olympics fanfares opening & closing ceremonies, Film sound track for Steve Irwin’s Crocodile Hunter and trumpet for James Blundell CD just to name a few.
